Blackpool Illuminations Switch On – Music stars Ella Eyre and Jonas Blue will perform at the 2018 Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On concert.

Diversity, Club MTV DJs R3wire & Varski and MTV Presenter Becca Dudley also join the line-up at Blackpool’s Tower Festival Headland on Friday 31 August for what promises to be the most spectacular free event in the resort’s calendar!

The Friday night celebration will start with a “Blackpool Introduces” showcase featuring the best of talent from across the Fylde Coast, prior to the start of the main show.

Blackpool Illuminations 2018 Blackpool Illuminations – Have you seen them? The sort of spectacle that everyone should see at least once, they enthral millions of visitors every year. The greatest free light show on earth. They have been a major part of Blackpool’s attraction since 1879 when they were described as ‘Artificial Sunshine’. The annual Festival of Light compliments the traditional Illuminations with a contemporary look at the concept of light and art working together to create entertainment. You can even get involved with some of the interactive installations designed to amuse and provoke thought. The “Big Switch On” is the brightest night, when the switch is pulled to create the magic and excitement that Blackpool is known for.
